Possible Road Rage perpetrator arrested in N12

A man was arrested on Woodside Park Road, N12 yesterday in relation to an earlier alleged incident of Road Rage on Buxted Road, N11.

Police were informed that the suspect had allegedly made threats of serious physical violence against two victims in response to a driving matter on Buxted Road at 13:20 on February 28, 2011 after having followed them from Oakleigh Road North, N20.

The 37 year old male suspect had been driving a dark coloured Toyota Avensis while the two victims (men aged 34 and 38) were in a van.

Following a search of his property, the man was bailed until 26 April 2011 pending outstanding witness accounts.

Investigating officer TDC Mustafa Dogan said: “We urge anyone with any information about the event on Buxted road to contact police to add impartial witness accounts to the case.”

“In specific, a bus driver was seen to take interest in the event and that individual is strongly urged to contact police.”
