Suspect 2: Asian male, 6’1″, medium build , black jacket, ash coloured cap, blue denim jeans.

The bag stolen contained the takings from two shops over the weekend and were intended to be deposited at a nearby bank.

Detective Sergeant Andy Goodwin said: “Anyone who witnessed this incident or knows who these men are is asked to call us as soon as possible.

“Anyone who carries a knife is a danger to others, and when used in a robbery that threat becomes critical.

“I would like to point out that if you do absolutely have to transport such a large amount of money in public that it would be advisable to take some extra precautions such as taking a colleague with you, using a back pack or something to conceal it properly, doing so during busy times and if possible taking smaller amounts over a few trips.”
