Ballards Lane – metal bar attack – update from Barnet Police

Police are appealing to witnesses to a serious Grievous Bodily Harm incident on Wednesday 13th April 2011 at 6:00am on Ballards lane N3.

Two window cleaners were attacked by three male youths who were in the company of a female youth.

Two of the suspects beat one of the cleaners with aluminium poles  causing both victims to require hospitalisation.

The officer in charge of the case, DC Mark Bennett said: “This attack was vicious, unprovoked and serious enough to hospitalise both the victims.

“One victim has a broken nose while the other required 8 stitches to his chin, 5 to his forehead and 5 in the back of the head as well as bruised ribs.

“While we have arrested four people who are now on bail, we need independent witnesses to come forward and provide us with their accounts.

A large number of people were seen nearby on CCTV footage who will have witnessed the attack.
